The Painted Cave (La Cueva Pintada)

Do you want to know how the past settlers of Gran Canaria lived? If the bug bites you, we suggest you visit one of the most important archaeological sites of the Canary Islands: La Cueva Pintada de Gáldar (the Painted Cave of Gáldar).

A walk through the Painted Cave Archaeological Museum and Park is a trip to the past that will not leave you indifferent. The museum is the result of more than 24 years of excavation and conservation work of a valuable archaeological group. The museum building has been constructed around a Canarian aboriginal village, which is an exceptional testimony of an ancestral culture.
